Kim’s USA was founded by Grandmaster Inseon Kim in Amarillo, Texas, in 1988. Since its inception, Grandmaster Kim has taught thousands of students and helped hundreds achieve the rank of black belt. In 2005, Grandmaster Kim expanded his reach by opening a second location in Lewisville, Texas, alongside Master Dennis Pinaroc, one of his former students whom he coached. Together, they have cultivated Kim’s USA into one of the premier martial arts schools in Texas.
In addition to taekwondo, Kim’s USA offers complementary programs in gymnastics and soccer, making it a multisport facility that has become a significant success. This facility meets the needs of families with multiple children interested in different sports, providing convenient and expert instruction within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Kim’s USA has established itself as one of the leading centers in North Texas, known for its top-notch instruction and “One Stop for Families” approach.

Grandmaster Inseon Kim is a highly respected figure in the taekwondo community, known for his extensive contributions to the sport as both an athlete and a coach. His taekwondo journey began in 1968 in Incheon, Korea, under the guidance of Master Daejin Hwang, and he is affiliated with Jido Kwan, holding an 8th Dan black belt.
Grandmaster Kim has made a significant impact on taekwondo, particularly in his role as the Technical Commission Chair for World Taekwondo (WT). In this position, he focuses on developing innovative competition formats and ideas for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, aiming to enhance the sport’s global appeal while maintaining its competitive essence. Since 2010, he has served as the Technical Delegate for World Taekwondo at numerous international events, further showcasing his leadership in the sport.
In 2011, Grandmaster Kim was honored with the Ministry of Culture’s “Sports Tourism Award,” recognizing his contributions to promoting taekwondo globally. Throughout his career, he has also served as the head coach for the USA National Team and led the USA Olympic Taekwondo Team as captain at the 2012 London Olympic Games. His dedication to the sport extends to promoting transparency, good governance, and sustainability within the taekwondo community.
Beyond his technical roles, Grandmaster Kim operates a multi-sports complex in Texas, offering taekwondo, gymnastics, and soccer programs, reflecting his commitment to nurturing athletic talent across various disciplines. In recognition of his contributions, Mr. Kim was inducted into the US Grandmasters Hall of Fame in 2023.
From 2003 to 2018, Grandmaster Kim served as the President of the Texas State Taekwondo Association, where he played a pivotal role in developing Texas Taekwondo into a top producer of Olympic, international, national, and state champions.
Master Dennis Pinaroc
Dennis Pinaroc is a 6th Degree Black Belt with an impressive martial arts career. He is a 10-time Texas State Champion, 3-time Collegiate Champion, US Olympic Festival Champion, and 10-time US Junior Champion. In 1992, he claimed the title of US National Champion and competed as a USA Olympic Trialist. Additionally, he was the Grand Champion at the 1988 Fort Worth Open. With 35 years of teaching experience, Dennis has trained numerous state, national, and Olympic athletes. He is passionate about instilling respect, discipline, and spirit in his students, whether they are children, teens, adults, or families.
